A rotary drilling rig cutting tool especially suitable for medium to low hardness ground or for fractured or weak material. It is made from three notched cones, with buttons made from widia or other very strong alloys which break up the rock when they rotate at the bottom of the hole. This is an extremely widespread technique that bores many ground types, with a superior or inferior performance, making it especially suitable for deep drilling such as for water and oil.
