These are hammering devices used for driving piles, sheet piles and tubs. They are made up of an element or guide plane which supports or moves the piece to be driven during the process, protecting its head with utensils (pile caps) that receive and transmit the knocks from the hammering tool, stopping the piece to be driven from wearing. Pile rams can be manual or mechanical, in the case of mechanical ones they are mounted on tractor bases with a derrick as a guide that supports the driving equipment and which is made of a ram plunger moved by compressed air or by a combustion engine.
