Track switches

These are devices that allow the branching and crossing between various routes and are made up from a combination of two types of simple systems: sidings that consists in the branching of a track into two (or exceptionally into three) allowing the rail car to pass from one to the other from a point where both are tangent; and the splice bars that allow the crossing of two tracks whose respective axes are secant.
