This process is undertaken once the earthworks have been finished proceeding with the redefinition of the railway, stocking materials and site delivery. The ballast is spread by carrying scrapers and rollers and its upper layer is tampered. The rail laying operation needs greater precision and the welded continuous rails need special trains to transport them, which have to be a little longer than the rail, whilst the laying of the rail is made using gantry joists or special trains. The rails' final position should be adjusted to the project's design.
