High-speed railway

These are rails designed and built for commercial speeds of 250-350 km/h, to which new elements have been incorporated to the traditional technology on the track as well as in the tractive and trailing material, therefore requiring more demanding work and maintenance requirements. The limit of the high-speed commercial train, for cost reasons, seems to be 300 km/h as by passing from a speed of 300 km/h to 500 km/h this means multiplying the capacity by more than 4 times, as the air resistance is proportional to the speed cube.
