Wheel track

A mark imprinted on the ground left by the wheel of a vehicle. (Lexicographical definition). The cause of wheel tracks is due to bad structural design of the road surface in relation to the stresses applied to it and/or to its geometrical characteristics, especially regarding its gradient together with the presence of heavy traffic. The following are factors that collaborate in forming wheel tracks: - Bad structural road surface design. - High temperatures. - Overloading surfacing. - Existence of very prominent and very long gradients. - Excess moisture in the formation level.
