Wane

Embankment area showing a higher deformation than that corresponding to its surroundings when stresses are applied to it. The formation of wanes originates from laying and compacting basically waterproof materials that have an excess of water. Wanes show on the pavement's surface in the form of cracks that close over each other or against their own edges, like a geometric figure.
