Kilometre milestones

A vertical sign equipped with reflective elements that is vertically positioned at the edge of the road's deck, which indicates the name of the road and the distance in kilometres from the source of the road to the point where the sign is. It is made up of three parts: support (galvanised steel sheet), non-retroreflective area (use of paints) and retroreflective area (laminated retroreflective material). Its shape and size depends on the type of road where it is found and its colours on the national network are: blue (motorway, dual-carriageway and fast roads) and red (conventional roads).
