Flux spreaders

An accessory, that is usually installed in a lorry or is towed, for scattering and spreading flux (salt, brine, etc.) on surfacing for the treatment and melting of ice and snow on roads, forest tracks and airport runways. It can be manual or automatic and has a steel or plastic hopper with a capacity of 3 to 10 m³, fitted on the frame or bed of a lorry. It distributes the flux by means of rotating plates, adjustable in height and angle. Usually has liquid or brine storage tanks with a wetting system.
