Brine

A saturated solution made at room temperature using the direct contact of water with a flux excess: sodium chloride (salt), calcium chloride and other salts that do not allow the formation of ice when the freezing point of water drops to temperatures of less than 0ºC, or that are able of melting it when it has formed. These can be used either in preventative or curative treatments, against the snow or ice, the flux in this form staying longer on the carriageway than if it was applied in a solid state.
