Marine works

Marine works have a determining factor allowing them to be known as a Civil Engineering division, the action of the sea. This factor is introduced into their design as various adjustments concerning the height of the waves and the wave energy spectrum, as well as the water depth, the course of the waves, etc. Included in this division are inner harbour works, vertical and mound dikes, wet docks, wharves, oil rigs, dredging and filling works, offshore outfalls, underwater pipes, beach regeneration, etc.
