Reinforcement with prefabricated panels

Reinforcement consisting of pre-stressed concrete panels, prefabricated off-site, impregnated with length-wise pock marks and designed to support loads produced in reinforcements. Their lateral joints are specially designed so that, once filled with concrete, they can transmit cutting forces to adjacent slabs. They have the advantage of achieving greater spans than reinforcements formed by joists, and can cater for heavier loads. They are common in industrial buildings.
