Delaying agents

Products which when added to fresh concrete, facilitate an increase in setting time, without affecting mechanical resistance. Used in works requiring a large volume of concrete, in which interruptions are necessary due to the phases of concreting of very thick building elements. Certain delaying agents may diminish initial resistance levels of the concrete, but in the medium term, these may even increase with respect to concrete where no agents have been used.
