Compacting the concrete

An operation performed on the concrete once it is on site but before setting, with the aim of preventing gaps, ensuring reinforcements are covered, and adapting the concrete mixture to the formwork. The operation is completed each time a layer is poured onto the formwork. Compacting techniques, depending on the structural element, are: pock marking, vibration, compacting.
