Slaked lime

An air conglomerate obtained by baking limestone rocks. These react with energy when water is added, absorbing it, thickening and becoming slaked lime which emits heat. It has the property of hardening slowly on coming into contact with air. In powder or paste form, it is the type of lime used in building. Lime is employed in paste form to execute plasterwork and to make mortars, especially those mixed with cement (mixed).
