Fitting column ties

The appearance and correct alignment of the wall faces must be a priority, as well as their perfect plumb in the axis directions. The line defining the partition alignment is drawn, the column tie is lined up, so as not to touch the line, using a sloping stanchion supported by the crossbar, at a gradient not exceeding 45º. The column tie set should then be positioned, each of its legs plumbed, wedges downwards. Planimetry with the wall is checked using two levelling rods and the legs of the column tie are attached to the work.
