Cement block walls

This is fabric work carried out with cement blocks, which can also be used for structural purposes as well as for enclosure; they can be enclosures of faced blocks or blocks that can be subsequently covered. Faced blocks must comply with requirements for waterproofing, surface finish (they cannot have fissures, chipping or deformities) and insulation. There are different surface finishes bonds for faced fabrics. As for any fabric, vertical continuity of joints must be avoided. When their role is structural, reinforced bands are normally fitted into the horizontal joints.
