An assistive listening technology for individuals with reduced ranges of hearing. It consists of cable connected to an amplifier. It allows the sound source of interest to be transmitted to the hearing-impaired generating a magnetic field. The cable generates a magnetic field throughout the looped space which can be picked up by a hearing aid, cochlear implant (CI) processors, and specialized hand-held hearing loop receivers for individuals without telecoil compatible hearing aids.
If any space have a magnetic field, this might indicate that a “hearing induction loop” is available with the correspondent sign. Users with hearing-aids or implants might activate the coil hearing aid so that they will get a better audition and spoken information. There are different types of installations: perimeter coils, table talk equipment, laptop equipment.
