Body harness

A fall arrest harness is a body gripping device intended to stop falls, and is a component of a fall arrest system. It may consist of: - Textile ribbons, intended to support the user's body once it has been dropped. - Coupling elements connecting the components or subsystems. - Setting items, which allow to adapt the length of the strips to the user. - Loops, for hanging out material, for example. Its function is to transmit to the body the braking force exerted by the other components of the fall arrest system. This force tries to move to the strongest part of the body: hip bones (pelvis).
