Snowplough blade

Device fitted to the front of a lorry or ancillary vehicle (for tracks or narrow roads), made up of two steel sheets which is used on snowbound roads to pushes the snow towards the sides of the road. It consists of two independent sheets joined at the centre by a peak-shaped system which employs hydraulic bottles to create an angle between them or render them flat. The sheets form an angle or are flat, so that the snowplough can be moved up and down to strike, break and expulse ice, or expel snow to the hard shoulder, and can be positioned appropriately for normal driving.
