Rotary blast machine

A machine used for drilling holes, based on the action of pulling away particles with a cutting element (coring bit) to which a turning force is applied (rotation), causing the rock to break by compression, linked to fracturing and crushing of the rock caused by the striking action of a heavy element (percussion). It consists of an engine, a tower, a drill pipe, to which the drill head or bit is attached and a rotation table transmitting movement to the drill pipe. It remains in a set position throughout the operation, and is transported by a lorry, with a wheeled chassis, tracks or tractors.
