Mini-excavator

A very specialised and versatile, small-sized machine used as an ancillary vehicle in earth movement, sluicing, movement of weights, demolition, etc; Tools such as the following may be attached to it: moving and loading blades, water-injection hammers, shears, excavation scoops, sweepers, wedges, forklifts. It can function with caterpillar tracks or tyres and normally weighs between 3,000 and 3,500 kg, with a power of 45 to 60 kW. It can be used to excavate masses of up to 6,000 kg. When employed as a loader, it can move from 800 to 1,000 kg.
