A vehicle specially designed for land excavation or clearance, featuring a front dipper and a horizontal swivel deck.
It can function with tyres or tracks:
- Tyres: consists of a wheeled frame (tyred), the main engine for propulsion and controlling the hydraulic or electric system, and a boom and excavation arm (front, rear, grabber, dragline, etc.) located at the front of the machine. An essential feature is that the boom rotates on a vertical axis.
- Tracks: same as the above, except that it is fitted with tracks as opposed to tyres.
