A professional capable of performing the following functions:
- Determining the technical characteristics of the product or project, that is the objective of the project.
- Decision-making as regards technical solutions.
- Determining the technologies required and being responsible for their identification, evaluation or selection, in cases where they are not already available.
- Being responsible for the technical training of the project team (in coordination with other horizontal operational units within the company).
In a consultancy, the project manager has the ultimate responsibility for ensuring it is executed in accordance with the established deadlines, budget and quality standards.
