Boundary-setting is the process of annotating - using lines, figures, signs and symbols - the measurements of an object based on a previous drawing of the same. It is executed in compliance with a series of rules and conventions established by regulations. In short, it involves annotating a sketch, topographic map, plan or any other cartographic document.
Annotation is the most complex task of the technical drawing since for precision, it is necessary to not only know the annotation rules, but also the function allocated to each drawing.
