To represent figures on a plan a reference system it is used making it possible to situate each of the points of the figures with absolute precision. The reference system called the coordinates system is composed of two perpendicular axes, one vertical and one horizontal that intersect at a point called the coordinates origin. The vertical axis is called the ?y-axis', where the ?y' component of each point is represented.
