Geodesic or topographic precision instrument used to measure many types of horizontal and vertical angles, depending on the stage of construction and the marks. Placed on a tripod, it is composed of an adjustable base with three levelling screws and features a horizontal graduated circle and an alidade which rotates on a vertical axis. The alidade has a stadiometric viewer which rotates on the horizontal axis.
