Subcontractors

The person or legal entity acquiring a contractual obligation with the contractor, the principal employer, to carry out determined parts or installations, of the works, in accordance with to the project which governs its execution. Examples of determined parts or installations of a work that could be subcontracted are: earth movement, structures, general building tasks, air conditioning installations, plumbing, surfacing, gardening, etc. In order that a company which carries out parts or installations of a work can become a subcontractor, as explained above, it must be contracted by the contractor. In cases where the contract emanates from the developer, the company in question acquires the position of a contractor.
