PERT (Program Evaluation and Review Technique) is a modern method of project planning and monitoring, which consists of representing, by means of a diagram of arrows and nodes, the logical sequence of the basic jobs to develop and the inter-relationships between these basic jobs. It is based on a critical path analysis, considering three possibilities for the duration of each activity, optimum, most probable and worst scenario, as well as the expected or programmed time based on these.
