It is the action of positioning in the ground, using topographic instruments and with a pre-established accuracy, marking elements obtained from blueprints, using the existing bases in the area as a reference. In the ground layout, the axis points corresponding to the cross-sectional profiles will be fixed, while in the elevation or levelling layout, spot height (red mark) will be noted on each peg. The ground layout is particularly important and several points must be fixed to show the transition or circular curves, as well as the intersection point between each different aligning type.
