Stopcocks

All rooms with a water supply are legally required to have stopcocks at the hot and cold water supply points. This supply key cuts off the wet room from the rest of the building, facilitating repair work. Piping is normally embedded, along with the body of the stopcock. The handwheel features blue or red marking, depending on whether the water is cold or hot.
