Simple taps

They release only cold water or hot water, and can be manual or automatic. The manual type is hand-powered via turning. They are used as a stopcock in rooms with a running water supply and as simple bathroom taps; and as source hoses and bucket spillways. Automatic taps are used in public facilities, toilets and bathrooms. They save large quantities of water. They consist of a piston that shuts off gradually upon pressing a push button mechanism. This progressive closing operation is called temporised shut-off.
