POLYETHYLENE piping

Polyethylene piping (PE) is rigid and is manufactured to withstand pressures from 4 to 16 kg/cm². It is used for the drinking water supply. At temperatures above 60ºC it loses rigidity, such that it is not advisable to use it for hot water. It has many advantages: it is light and manageable; it has smooth walls; it bends with heat, and can therefore be used in cases where twisting is required, re-hardening once it becomes cold; it is suitable for carrying drinking water at normal pressures; it has high resistance to corrosion; and does not react adversely to plaster or cement.
