Gasket joints

Leaks must be avoided when piping is assembled. This can be achieved by ensuring that there are minimum connections and that pipe sections are as long as possible, although there will nevertheless be a series of joining points between pipes. It is at the joints between the different sections of piping where gasket joints are useful to prevent fluid leakage. They are also known as sealing joints.
