Floating valves

These are used in storage tanks for drinking water, and in urinal cisterns. Their mechanism consists of a floater or buoy which opens and closes a valve connected to the floater by means of a lever. As the buoy descends, the water passes through the valve and as it ascends, as the level goes up, the valve shuts off the water flow.
