When demand for hot water is greater than three taps it is necessary to store hot water. Electric or thermal accumulation heaters are only manufactured up to 200 litres, smaller than for the gas type. This is because electric consumption is more expensive than gas. They can be installed in bathrooms, or in any room with a water supply. They do not require a chimney, or a ventilation grill, or a special gas project. An electric thermal accumulation heater consists of a thermally insulated tank, an electric resistance, a thermostat, both electric and water connections, and a sacrifice anode.
