Copper pipe welding is considered to be soft welding by means of capillarity, given that heat used is not greater than 500ºC. The welding process soft welding by means of capillarity in copper pipes is as follows: firstly, the areas to be welded are cleaned, then the flux material is spread on and the pieces are bonded; the excess flux material is cleaned away and the piece is heated with a blowtorch; the welding material (tin-silver thread) is then directed towards the gap entrances or interstices, where it fuses and penetrates. Lastly, it is left to dry, before being cleaned.
