When a meter is installed a measurement checking system must be linked to it. The checking operation can be performed without the need to disassemble the meter. To facilitate this, a tap is fitted at the meter outlet, and a test-tube is used to check its measuring, in order to see if the meter is correctly calibrated. In addition, an anti-flowback valve should be fitted, so as to avoid the flowback of waters that may be contaminated. The meter, the checking tap, and the anti-flowback valve are isolated by cut-off valves.
