Ball valves

As on-off valves, they are not used for regulating flow, given that erosion occurs in half-way flows. The on-off system is executed by a drilled ball or sphere, fixed to a catch or lever. The water is turned on or off by means of a 90º turn. Consequently, they work very quickly. They are widely used in plumbing as a line shut-off valve up to 2 ½? in diameter.
