Washing rendering

It is one of the types of render finishes that is hung with lime mortar which is achieved by passing the plastering trowel strongly across the second layer of the mortar whilst still fresh. To eliminate pores and when the mortar starts to dry, it is washed with lots of water and a flat brush to eliminate the lime whitewash, leaving the grains of sand on the surface.
