Types of sand

Aggregate between 5 mm and 0,05 mm in size. This can be found in natural outdoor surroundings mainly due to the action of different natural agents causing the disintegration of rocks, or it can be artificially obtained by grinding or crushing thicker aggregates. Depending on its origin, we can recognise different types of sand such as that coming from the river, mine, beach, miga quarry or quarry. Sand is the basic material used for manufacturing mortar and concrete.
