Template tracing and cutting

Before starting the tracing, a sheet of zinc is placed under the template drawing. The basic points of reference are marked on the sheet metal with a point, and then the lines joining these points are marked with a tracer and with the help of a straight edge and curved rulers and the bow compass. Tinsmith's shears with straight and curved blades are used to cut the sheet of zinc. Special care will be taken during this operation not to exceed the tracing limits if the counter template is to be re-used.
