Template boards

Boards used to make the real sized outline drawing of an architectural object which the stone mason uses for guidance during the working process. Two types of templates exist, the positive or profile template serving to mark the profiles of a piece of stone and the counter or negative template which allows the measurements to be checked once the piece has been finished. Templates are also used in plasterwork for making moulds and for paintwork for artistic reasons.
