The use of adhesive moulds is very recommendable in the case of models with a lot of recesses and when a large number of gypsum plaster casts have to be made quickly. Depending on the cases and circumstances, different types of adhesive moulds are used, amongst which are the moulds made with shell.
The box or open shell moulds are used to reproduce very marked embossments, mouldings, etc.
The box or closed shell moulds are used to reproduce forms, busts, etc.
