Settling and pointing mortar

The cement and sand mortar used for the settling of stone slabs in open joint flagging should have a dosage of 1:6. The amount of water necessary will have been previously determined taking into account that the putty should have a semi-dry consistency. The mixing of the settling mortar can be done manually or with a cement mixer. The cement grout and sand used for pointing the closed joint stone flagging should have a dosage of 1:1. The mixing of the grout is done manually or with a beater.
