Scourers

A utensil made with threads of esparto, or of any other material such as plastic, wire and nylon, which is used to clean surfaces. The aluminium scourer is a collection of aluminium threads wound together, it is used to give a fine finish to wood before rubbing with sandpaper and its advantage is that it does not get clogged up with dust. It comes in different thread thicknesses each one giving different types of finish.
