Circular section tools with a handle that vary between 90 and 170 mm and with a square notched head. They are also called ?roto hammer drill', their name coming from the continuous percussion movement made on the surface insinuating that the utensil ?dances' or ?bounces'.
They are used for reducing a surface, for the final cut achieving a granulated texture or as the first phase of smoothing a piece.
The rotary hammer drill fits into a pneumatic hammer which, by using compressed air from a compressor, continuously knocks on the head of the tool.
