Rendering the second layer

This operation is made once the first rendered layer of lime mortar has hardened. The mortar used for this second layer is made with fine sand. To apply it, the mortar is scooped from the trough by the trowel and applied to the plastering trowel. The mortar is applied with the plastering trowel over the first layer of rendering, starting at the top of the wall and pressing so that it grips to the base, going over the surface to leave it as even and flat as possible.
