Reinforcement corner bands

To strengthen reinforced corners avoiding them from being chipped when knocked, before applying the reinforcement, corner bands or corner supports are fixed to the facings. Once the reinforcing has finished, the corner bands are hidden being absorbed by the reinforcement. These are galvanised steel sheets made up from a main body of smooth sheeting and two perforated or meshed lateral strips or wings on the same sheet. These elements also serve as a corner screed to support the straight edge when the gypsum plaster is being spread.
