Tools made from an alloy foil with thick file like triangular teeth giving it roughness, and a detachable handle. Used to break down the wood and for scraping curved and flat surfaces that have previously been worked with the saw or cross cut chisel. They usually have a thick, medium or fine cut, and can be round, triangular, flat or square.
